Canva Design Trends 2026:

As a yearly tradition, Canva Design Trends highlight emerging visual directions and cultural behaviours shaping how creators communicate and design. After shaping the 2025 Trends Forecast, I contributed to the 2026 edition, leading the creation and development of Notes App Chic and Drama Club. Notes App Chic celebrates authenticity through lo-fi layouts, raw notes, and unpolished moments that feel intentional and real. Drama Club explores heightened storytelling, using bold compositions and cinematic typography to turn everyday content into expressive, scene-like visuals.

Grounded in extensive cultural research and visual exploration, 20 templates were developed across both trends to translate shifting behaviours, creative habits, and emotional needs into accessible design systems. Together, they reflect the balance between quiet honesty and dramatic expression shaping visual culture in 2026.
